Hair is beauty, Hair is property, Hair is power.

​

Beauty is both an empowerment and exploitation of power. I made a fragile but strong hairnet by linking hair together with knotting. I feel hair’s nature of evergrowing, female workers’ patience and scrupulous, and women’s pursuit of beauty have all shaped and reinforced this global wig trading system, which will continue to exist.
